Italian Food

We hosted a series of special events at the faculty and staff restaurant to increase participation. This was one of the favorites. We made a large poster, small signs and a mailer out of this design. I tried to have fun with this and really use the Italian theme, as well as incorporating the University Club logo and colors.

University Club

This is an information sheet I created using the new logo and color scheme for the faculty and staff restaurant on campus at UT Arlington. This was distributed to all new faculty members at orientation and to anyone who asked for one at the host stand of the club. I was able to take a huge block of text and maintain all the information, yet organize it into an easy-to-read format that is pleasing to the eye.

Health Watch

I was asked to create an identification system for students who wanted healthy meal options. This is a sample menu with no nutritional information. The look was fresh and fun and incorporated elements from marketing that students had already seen from dining services.

Election Party

This was an actual event menu for an election party we hosted at the university. All the menu items were red, white or blue and we streamed election coverage on a projector screen in the cafe. The students really enjoyed it.

Cathedral in Spain

This is just for fun. I took this picture in Salamanca,
Spain when I was studying there in the summer 2006. I played around with it in Photoshop to get this effect.

'80s Night

This is an example of an event poster I made for a university cafe. It's one of many. Unfortunately we never hosted an '80s Night, which is why the menu is filler text, and why I am posting it here.

It shows good use of gradients and color to make a simple statement. Definitely eye-catching for college students, which was the target audience.
